Miss Retrofest 2015 - Competition!

The objective of the contest is to find a gal who can represent Port Macquarie RetroFest in pin up girl style. We are looking for a confident gal who will stand out in a crowd and carry herself well. She must be positive, professional, and willing to represent Port Rockers RetroFest for the entire year of her crowning. Her responsibilities will include, maintain the title of Miss RetroFest until the next year’s festival, performing informal duties locally to help promote the event.

This contest is not one that is based solely on popularity or cosmetic appeal but one that includes inner beauty as well.

After submissions close, the judges will pick UP TO 12 senior finalists and 10 junior, who will be selected to compete by appearing on stage to showcase their best Pin Up poses wearing one evening wear outfit  (outfits and styling supplied by the entrant).  The junior contestants will be appearing during the daytime and the seniors during the evening at the Gala Ball held on Saturday night, the 5th of September 5th, 2015 (time to be advised).

The winner will be selected by the panel of Judges and Crowned on the Saturday evening. There will also be a ‘Best in Theme' for the senior contestants, based on their interpretation of 'Fabulous 50's'.


All entrants consent to having  their photos displayed on the website and other forms of promotional media.

Below is the schedule for submissions and announcements:
• 5 June- Entries Open
• 25 August - Submissions Close
• 25-26 August – Finalists Notified
• 5 September – Fashion Parade , Judging of finalists and crowning of the ‘Miss RetroFest 2015’.

 

Finalists will be chosen on how well the questions were answered and what sort of “outside”work they do in their communities and their individual style. No talent required, no body shape expectations, no song and dance necessary, just good ol’ fashion glamour sophistication and class.

Prizes:
Senior Pin-Up: A custom designed dress provided by Miss Dale Velvet-Rose's Pin Up Dressing Room to the value of $300.

Junior Pin-Up: A $100 voucher provided by provided by Miss Dale Velvet-Rose's Pin Up Dressing Room to the value of $100.

 

EVENTS:

Terms and Conditions:

  • All entrants must submit four digital photographs including a close up of their face and a full body shot dressed in Pin-Up Girl Attire (professional photographs are not required – selfies using a smartphone are acceptable, but please dress to best demonstrate your understanding of Pin-Up Style).

  • All entrants must submit a completed entry form.

  • All sentior entrants must be over 18 at time of entry submission.  All junior entrants must be over 10 years and under 18 at time of finals (5th September 2015).

  • All entrants must reside in Australia and are responsible for their own travel costs if selected for the finals.  Senior contestants selected for the finals will be given two complimentary tickets for the Gala Ball.

  • The judge's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

  • All contestants consent to their submitted photos being displayed, in any form of media print, online or video.

  • All contestants consent to their photos being taken at the event and used for promotional purposes by Port Rockers RetroFest.

  • Finalists will be contacted personally.

  • The prize(s) must be taken as stated and cannot be deferred. There will be no cash alternatives.

  • The organisers do not accept any responsibility for late or lost entries due to the Internet or postal service. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt.

  • No responsibility is accepted for ineligible entries or entries made fraudulently.

  • The organiser reserves the right to cancel this competition at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of its control.

  • Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these rules and to agree to be bound by them when entering this competition.

  • All entrants acknowledge that in the event they win the title of Miss RetroFest, that this role will come with spokesperson responsibilities and we would appreciate their attendance at the 2016 Festival. 

  • All contestants must be available to attend the show on the 5th of September for Judging (attendance times to be confirmed).

  • This competition is run by Live2U as the organisers on behalf of Port Rockers RetroFest.

Tattoo Competition - RetroFest

If you have a retro, vintage, old skool, American traditional tattoo's then we would love you to enter our Tattoo Competition.

 

How to Enter:

Simply message photos of yourself showing your tattoos (please be tasteful - sexy ok but no nudity) to our FaceBook Page and then we will upload them into the 'Tattoo Comp' album.

 

Finalists:

If the public and our judges like your tattoos, then you will be invited to showcase your ink to the public on the catwalk during the daytime 'fashion parade' held in Port Panthers Auditorium on Saturday 5th of September 2015, and you could win some great prizes.

2 Sailor Jerry Merch Packs - 1 x Male (Hoodie and Trucker Cap) and 1 x Female (Tee Shirt and Tote Bag)
